My second stay during my trip in Colombia. Same plus points: comfortable and clean room (and bed), great breakfast, easily accessible (though area looks a bit sketchy) at night. Could leave a bag in storage for 10 days between my 2 stays in Bogota.

2 days before I got a message from someone from the hotel saying that there was a problem with the reservation, that there was no room and that I could cancel it (given the cancellation policies, was unsure it wouldn’t be a hassle to get my money back), and I had to remind them the rules of overbooking: booking me in an equivalent or superior hotel at their own expense. Their solution wasn’t really so, but in the end they managed to let me stay at VILar America, so everything ended up well. I liked it the 1st time, I had to collect my bag and I was arriving late, so I would have been pissed to change hotel!…

Quiet comfort and good value

Wow, our room was huge! We booked a standard double but were given what seemed to be a suite - had a small kitchen, spacious living room with a couch, etc. The room itself was a little dated but the furnishings were lovely, and the kingsize bed was extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well, with perfect omelettes made to order and a good spread of fruit, pastries etc. The location was decent in that it was very close to some great restaurants in Zona G, and a short Uber ride to Zona T, and the attractions in Calendaria. It felt quite safe to walk around but will note it was eerily quiet at nighttime.

Our (also gigantic) bathroom and kitchen could use an upgrade, and the hot water only worked in the shower when it was on full blast with the cold tap fully off - unfortunately that resulted in very low water pressure. Other than that, it was a great hotel with very good value for your money.

BEYOND AMAZING, STAY HERE!

This hotel was amazing! I have no complaints. I am very picky when it comes to hotels but this hotel is 10/10 we were there for about 10 nights and the staff was very accommodating, the room was very spacious and with a little noise machine we brought, we slept perfect! When I am back in Bogota I will make sure to stay here.

Safe location, large room, good breakfast

The hotel shared spaces were well looked after and the decor was new. Breakfast was a nice spread (fruit, meat/cheese, eggs to order and other hot items, breads, and cereal. Room was spacious and had warm water for showering. Location felt safe (though a good distance from downtown main attractions).

Room was stuffy even with the small window open; no fan available from reception. My room was one of the more outdated ones which was still very functional and large. Needs a filtered water station readily available to international guests (can ask front desk to fill your water bottle).

Excellent breakfast. Good location. Very clean and modern.

Solid choice

Our hotel room was spotlessly clean, perfect. Most staff were friendly and provided excellent service. Location was very handy, near restaurants and bus stops. We did not utilize the breakfast. The beds were very hard, it was difficult for me to sleep properly. However, the pillows and linens were very good. Nice hot water in the shower. I also liked that you could open the windows to the outside. There is a lot of noise from the hallways, some visitors talk loudly and no sound proofing from the door. I was woken two nights by comings and goings at 2 and 4 am. I could even hear someone coughing in another room at night.
